Oil Analysis, Sampling, Interpretation, Test Methods/Slates - Intermediate
Oil analysis is the laboratory analysis of a lubricant's properties, suspended contaminants, and wear debris and is performed during routine predictive maintenance to provide accurate information on lubricant and machine condition. Sampling is a procedure for collecting a volume of fluid from lubricated machinery for the purpose of oil analysis, Interpretation is the process of evaluating numerical data that has been collected, analyzed, and presented, more specifically from an oil analysis report. Test methods are individual procedures commonly developed by ASTM/ISO/other organizations to determine or evaluate a specific characteristic or performance capability of a lubricant.
