Tribology Online


The electronic journal "Tribology Online" aims to facilitate exchange of information thorough rapid publication of high quality papers for the worldwide development of tribology. The scope includes all aspects of tribology and other science and engineering areas that relate to the subjects of tribology. This English-language journal is open to the world for free access through the Internet.

JAST Mission: The Japanese Society of Tribologists (JAST) mission is to “connect, cooperate, and promote research concerning tribology in order to contribute to the progress of theory concerning tribology and to improve technology."  STLE and JAST share the goal of creating greater international presence for their respective organizations and increased recognition of tribology’s impact on social and economic conditions.  The groups are engaged in a collaborative project to connect and engage young professionals in the field.

JAST was founded in 1956 and serves 2,400 members who are mainly engineers and researchers in enterprises, educational institutions and public organizations.
