Event Questions

What is the schedule for the TFC?
STLE Tribology Frontiers Week will occur with keynote presentations and technical sessions being presented daily from 8:30 am to 4 pm (US Central Standard Time) beginning Monday, Nov. 9 through Friday, Nov. 13. The TFC concludes on Friday, Nov. 13, with a special celebration/virtual awards program at 2 pm. All registered attendees have access to the virtual conference platform, e-Attend™ powered by Image Audiovisuals (STLE’s virtual event partner) for the TFC. In addition, all sessions and presentation recordings will be available on demand, both during and after the event ends.

Is there a digital program or app available for the TFC?
Yes, In addition to the Program Guide available on the STLE
website, attendees can download the STLE 365 app for the latest TFC virtual conference updates and push notifications during the event. You can access the complimentary app for Apple iOS, Android Google Play, or HTML5 format (desktop). To download, simply search for STLE 365 in the iOS App Store, the Google Play Store or with your mobile device using the auto-detect link: www.tripbuildermedia.com/apps/stle365.

What if I am not available to attend the TFC?
No worries! The virtual conference platform and meeting content will be available on demand for up to one year after the event ends to attendees. Because all sessions and presentations are recorded and archived, you will have the opportunity to re-watch presentations or catch a presentation that conflicted with another session. All sessions and presentation recordings will be available for on demand access unless noted.

How do I get to the technical sessions and keynote presentations?
If you are in the virtual lobby area, click on “Technical Sessions” to your left. The daily keynote presentations will be streaming in the “Grand Ballroom,” located in the center area of the lobby.

Join us for our keynote presentations featuring eight world-renowned thought-leaders, each presenting their informed outlook on a topic at the forefront of tribology research.

Platform Questions

How do I update my profile?
On the top right of your screen you will see your name. From the drop-down menu next to your name, select “My Profile.”

How should I use the public chat function?
Messages posted to the public chat function can be viewed by all attendees. Please keep your messages brief and positive. For example: “Hello from my lab in Park Ridge, IL. Looking forward to a great conference!” Do not post messages intended for another attendee (there’s a private chat function for that purpose) or requests for technical support (that’s available through the Information Desk in the lobby). Any messages with unprofessional or inappropriate content will be deleted by STLE staff and could result in your removal from the meeting site. This includes, but is not limited to, excessive commercialism, price information or comments about an individual presentation. Thanks for your cooperation!

Where do I find Tech Support?
If you have technical questions about navigating the site, go to the “Information Desk” from the Lobby and click on “Chat with Tech Support”
for help with any technical issues. If you have STLE-related questions, you can chat with STLE staff at the Information Desk.

My video or audio is not working. What can I do?
Double-check that you are in a supported web browser. Most modern Internet web browsers work, but we recommend Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Microsoft Edge.

Thank you for joining us for STLE Tribology Frontiers Week!
