The Tribology Frontiers Conference (TFC) is focused on the role tribology plays as the interface of physics, chemistry, materials science and mechanical engineering. Join tribology researchers from more than 25 countries in North and South America, Asia, and Europe for the 5th STLE Tribology Frontiers Conference (TFC) to be held October 20-23, 2019 at the historic Drake Hotel in downtown Chicago, Iliinois. Co-sponsored by the Tribology Division of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), the conference will feature keynote speakers that will present talks on areas at the forefront of tribological science and the popular half-day symposium "Beyond the Cutting Edge: Highlights from Tribology Letters." Technical sessions featuring submitted presentations from leading tribology researchers and institutions from around the world will be scheduled over the four-day conference.
The Society of Tribologists and Lubrication Engineers (STLE) is an international professional membership association dedicated to the study of interacting moving surfaces. Improving the performance of equipment and products, conserving resources and protecting the environment through tribological advances is the mission of the society.
STLE is the leading technical organization serving more than 13,000 industry professionals and 250 companies and organizations that comprise the tribology and lubrication engineering business sector. STLE offers its members industry-specific education and training, professional resources, technical information, certification programs and career development.
