ADVANTAGES OF SYNFLUID mPAOs IN LUBRICANT APPLICATIONS
High viscosity PAOs have been utilized in lubricant applications for many years. The recent advent of mPAOs is allowing formulators to look at difficult lubricant regimes in new ways given the property advantages of these materials. Specifically, property advantages are observed in low temperature performance, thickening efficiency, very high viscosity indices and low foaming tendency. These properties are in addition to excellent shear stability and pressure-viscosity coefficients that mPAOs offer. This presentation will highlight the many advantages of mPAOs and provide examples of where they can be used in transportation and industrial formulations.
