Friction Moment of Instrument Bearing Undergoing Oscillatory Motion

There is a considerable interest in understanding the friction moments of instrument bearings since many sensing mechanisms, such as those used for some aerospace applications of sensitive to the friction moment. Many instrument mini-ball bearings often run in the vicinity of zero rotation speed or oscillate very slowly for extended periods. So it is necessary to know the proportion of the friction moments caused by different principal frictional sources in the total friction moments in above working condition, which is helpful to optimize the design of this kind mini-ball bearing.
