Inlet Lubricant Distribution of EHL Under Different Speeds

Most machine components, such as gears and rolling bearings etc, are likely to operate in the region of partial elastohydrodynamic lubrication (EHL) or mixed lubrication where local significant asperity contacts exist. Modeling mixed lubrication problem is a complex and challenging task, to which great efforts have been devoted during past 20-30 years. However, most of the above mentioned models assume fully flooded condition and neglect interasperity cavitation.
