STLE Onsite Education
The ABC's of Lubrication:
This full day, basic course is a course designed to encompass a large audience within the industry including: sales people, customers, end-users, managers, engineers, maintenance and purchasing personnel, technicians and anyone else interested in the subject matter.
Dr. Robert Gresham, STLE's Director of Professional Development, and author of the monthly articles on Lubrication Fundamentals for the society magazine, Tribology & Lubrication Technology, teaches this one day lubrication education program. Bob has an outstanding grasp of the technical content and excellent presentation and teaching skills. He has been teaching well received professional education courses around the country for over 20 years.
STLE's mission is to advance the science of tribology and the practice of lubrication engineering in order to foster innovation, improve the performance of equipment and products, conserve resources and protect the environment.
Lubrication engineering relates to the reduction of friction and wear between moving parts. Studies estimate that as much as one-third of all usable, device-produced energy is lost to friction and wear. This costs industry and consumers billions each year. Friction and wear greatly affect product reliability, maintainability, safety, energy waste and environmental factors. STLE brings together managers, engineers, sales and marketing personnel, scientists, end users and technicians in efforts to understand and control friction.
