TRIBOLOGY & LUBRICATION TECHNOLOGY (TLT)

Tribology & Lubrication Technology (TLT), the official monthly magazine of STLE, was launched in October 2003. TLT replaces STLE's former magazine, Lubrication Engineering, which began publishing in 1945.

Audience
TLT is a technical magazine that serves an audience of interdisciplinary professionals from industry, academic institutions and government. Included in this group are scientists, engineers, corporate leaders, researchers and product developers, plant managers and maintenance professionals, sales and marketing people and more.

Mission Statement
TLT was created to aid in the technical education and professional development of STLE members and industry colleagues. Each issue is filled with feature articles, case studies, best practice analyses, industry surveys, interviews with leading professionals, resources, lubrication fundamentals and more.

Readership
TLT is read by 7,000 lubrication professionals worldwide. Most TLT readers either design, manufacture and market lubricants or are the end-users of lubricants and related products. These technical readers are well-educated-85% are college grads and 44% hold advanced degrees.

TLT readers are involved in such industries as aeronautics, automobile, bearings, gears, hydraulics, metalworking fluids, mobile equipment, nonferrous metals, seals, solid lubricants, synthetic lubricants, tribotesting and more.
