STLE Salutes Three for Technical Achievement and Leadership

STLE 2009 awards presented at the May Annual Meeting in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, include:
International Award
Dr. Scott S. Bair, Georgia Institute of Technology. This is the Society’s highest technical honor and is given in recognition of the recipient’s outstanding contributions in tribology, lubrication engineering or allied fields.
Ku Award
Steven Lemberger, American Electric Power.  An award recognizing outstanding volunteer leadership and achievements for the Society.
Joll Award
Calvin F. Long – Detroit Section. Given annually for long-time service and leadership in an STLE Local Section.
In addition, eight individuals will be elevated to the status of STLE Fellow in recognition of their contributions to tribology and lubrication:
