STLE is unveiling a new and expanded online presence through our website at www.stle.org.  It’s the culmination of a research and planning process that began in mid-2006 and which has been in implementation for the past year.

The new website is an important component of STLE’s commitment to improve the ability of members to achieve your business and organizational goals.  A key element in our strategy to reach that goal is dissemination of reliable technical information through this enhanced web site presence.

The new website also has been engineered to give you a better user experience and to more easily manage your interactions with STLE.  It will in part allow you to:

·         Create a personal homepage that will serve as a portal for you to manage your membership records, track involvement in conferences and monitor your certification status.  Ease of use features on the site include enhanced search capability and a secure and convenient online shopping cart.

·         Collaborate with other STLE members worldwide, thanks to online directories covering individual members, corporate members and certification holders.  Other portions of the site will support communication among members of local sections and technical groups.

·         Access huge amounts of online content that will be fully searchable.  This includes more than 200 TLT articles, technical papers published in Tribology Transactions and Tribology Letters and online education courses dealing with the fundamentals of tribology and lubricants.

At headquarters, we have transitioned to a new content management system (CMS), which will enable our staff and volunteers to work more effectively and efficiently in delivering timely online communications to you.

Online advertising and marketing opportunities are available on the new STLE website.  Contact Tracy Van Ee for details.

We invite you to explore STLE’s new website and benefit from the availability of added content, the convenience of online tools and the ability to enhance your STLE community relationships.
