The STLE/ASME International Joint Tribology Conference(IJTC) is held in late October at various locations. The dynamic three-day program (Monday-Wednesday) attracts the top people and most innovative ideas from virtually every aspect of this multi-disciplinary field.

The majority of the 150 presentations are based on manuscripts that have been accepted for publication in prestigious technical journals such as Tribology Letters and Tribology Transactions. This assures that material being presented is new and significant work by the leaders in that aspect of tribology. Participants come from a variety of nations around the world, making this a truly international conference. Typical attendance is 300 people.
