Title: Fluorinated Self-Assembled Monolayers (FSAMs)
Presenter: Oussama Zenasni Ph.D. Graduate Student University of Houston and STLE Research Award Holder.
Bio:
Oussama was born in Algiers, Algeria. He graduated Cum Laude from the University of Houston in 2007 with a BA in Biology and Chemistry. Oussama is pursuing a Ph.D degree unfer the guidance of Professor T. Randall Lee and his dissertation research focuses on the impact of fluorination on the structure and properties of organic thin films
Abstract:
this presentation will provide an overview of Fluorinated Self-Assembled Monolayers (FSAMs) and the use of fluorinated thin films as nano-scale coatings in applications such as microelectro-mechanical systems (MEMS) and ongoing investigations on the design of new types of fluorinated surfactants and their impact on surface properties of FSAMs
