Fluorinated Self-Assembled Monolayers (FSAMs)
December 5, 2012
Title: Fluorinated Self-Assembled Monolayers (FSAMs)
Presenter: Oussama Zenasni Ph.D. Graduate Student University of Houston and STLE Research Award Holder.

Oussama is pursuing a Ph.D degree unfer the guidance of Professor T. Randall Lee and his dissertation research focuses on the impact of fluorination on the structure and properties of organic thin films
this presentation will provide an overview of Fluorinated Self-Assembled Monolayers (FSAMs) and the use of fluorinated thin films as nano-scale coatings in applications such as microelectro-mechanical systems (MEMS) and ongoing investigations on the design of new types of fluorinated surfactants and their impact on surface properties of FSAMs
