NFPA Webinar: Accurate Data on Hydraulic System Contamination
Wednesday, November 07, 2012
01:00 PM - 02:00 PM
Join NFPA (National Fluid Power Association) for this webinar on contamination measurement and control. Available for a fee to NFPA non-members - $50 for this session, or $200 for all 6 in the 2012 series.
Title: Better contamination control through better contamination measurement: Using ISO 11500 to get more accurate data on hydraulic system contamination
Presenter: Barry Verdegan, Research Fellow, Cummins Filtration, Inc.
Abstract: Particle counting properly done is a tool for managing maintenance costs and ensuring reliable operation of machinery that uses hydraulics. Particle counting done incorrectly can lead to unnecessary service or impending failure that is not detected in time. This webinar will focus on ISO 11500, Hydraulic fluid power – Determination of particulate contamination level of a liquid sample by automatic particle counting using the light-extinction principle. Use of ISO 11500 enables sound, data-based contamination control and service decisions, reducing operating costs and improving reliability.
Cost: Available for free to NFPA members or member companies; available for $50 for non-members. For more information about the series, click here.
