In this webinar, we will cover base oil classification, mineral oils properties and chemistry and the impact these have on the grease, as well as main vegetable and synthetic base oils used in greases.
Valentina Serra-Holm holds a PhD in Chemical Reaction Engineering from Abo Akademi, Finland in 2000 and a PhD in Chemical Plants from Polytechnic of Turin, Italy in 1997. During her academic career, she has published more than 40 scientific papers in the field of industrial catalysis and is Co-assignee of a world patent for manufacturing of polyols.
In 2001 Valentina joined Nynas where she currently holds the position of Marketing Director, after holding several roles in the technical and marketing departments.
In her current position she holds the global market responsibility for specialty oils within Nynas. Her main focus areas are refining technology with special reference to naphthenic oils and application of naphthenic oils in finished lubricants.
Valentina serves as ELGI Director and is active in several lubricant and tribology associations.
