Title: Lubrication History
Presenter: Dr. Rafael Tadmor, Associate Professor, Chemical Engineering Department Lamar University
Abstract:
The meanings of the concepts of “force” and “motion” went through changes along history from the very basic meanings they has in antiquity through the approaches of Socrates, Galileo, Newton, Albert Einstein, and others, all of whom progressively laid the foundations for modern science. We will use these to review the progress of science ending up in layman description of cutting edge nowadays tribological concepts.
