Title: ATF Technology and Trends
Present: Scott Deskin, Chevron Lubricants
Abstract: Scott will discuss the evolution of OEM specification for automotive transmission fluids. He will also cover current market trends (addressing the impact of ATF supplements) and compare the latest product offerings (licensed DEXRON-VI vs. Universal AFTs)
Bio: Scott received a B.S. in chemical engineering from MIT and an M.S. in chemical engineering from UCLA. He joined Chevron in 2002. As a process engineer at Chevron Base Oils, he pilot-tested hydrocracking and ISODEWAXING® catalyst systems for RLOP. In 2004, he joined CBO’s marketing and new business development team to provide technical support to various base oil product lines, including Gas-to-Liquid (GTL) base oils. Since May 2008, Scott has worked in driveline technology for Chevron lubricants. His current focus areas are automatic transmission fluids, drive train fluids and tractor hydraulic fluids.
