Title: Amines 101
Presenter: Pat Brutto, Dow Chemical Company
Abstract: This presentation will discuss properties of amines and how they function in water-dilutable MWF systems. A variety of amine products are currently used, functioning as neutralizers, pH adjusters and/or pH buffers. Rankings of common products in each area will be shared, which should help formulators and end users decide which are most suitable for a given task. Finally, some of the secondary benefits offered by these products will be discussed (bioresistance effects, etc.).
