Abstract
With regulations on chlorinated paraffin's (CPs) changing in major global regions and the recent announcement of Dover Chemical Corporation’s settlement with the USEPA, there is some confusion and uncertainty regarding their current status and continuing availability of these chemicals. This review covers the current regulatory status of CP’s on a global basis and the potential impact on the metal working industry.

Biography
Thomas Kelley is the Global Business Director, Chlorinated Products for Dover Chemicals and has been with Dover Chemical Corporation since 2000. Kelley joined Dover from Ferro Corporation with 23 years’ experience in technical and marketing / sales. He spent 10 years in France while working for Ferro Corporation as Director of Marketing and lived for 3 years in The Netherlands for Dover Corporation as General Manager of the Amsterdam office. Kelley received his Bachelor’s degree from Florida Institute of Technology along with post bac study in Chemical Engineering at The University of Akron. In his current role, he has global profit/loss responsibility for all chlorinated products produced by Dover Chemical and manages the flame retardant business in both the US and Europe.
