Metalworking Fluid Formulation; Strategies and Current Issues
The Chicago section, STLE will be conducting part one of its 2014 education program on Thursday, January 16, 2014 at Argonne National Laboratories, Argonne, IL, convenient to the Chicago Airports. GHS and biocide re-regulation are affecting current metalworking formulation strategies. This one day program features industry experts discussing topics from basic formulations approaches, to how current issues are affecting additive availability and use. The program is intended for anyone involved with formulations or maintenance and service of metalworking fluids, as well as for end users desiring a deeper understanding fluid composition.
The fees for this one day course are $200 for STLE members and $250 for non-members, including lunch, continental breakfast and coffee breaks. Reasonably priced room will be available at the Argonne Guest House. The Chicago Section monthly technical meeting will be held nearby, immediately following the education program. Attendance may be used towards meeting STLE CMFS recertification requirements.
