Novitas Chem Solutions (Abbreviated as NCS) offers innovative
specialty additives (abbreviated as SA) for industrial, metal working and
grease applications. In this talk Novitas shall presents a series of novel
and patent pending anti-wear and friction reducing (abbreviated as
AWFR) additive for applications in synthetic base oils (abbreviated as
SBO). An extensive bench testing study will be presented to show the
remarkable wear reduction and friction reducing in the presence of
SBOs including high viscosity PAO (PAO-40A and PAO-100A) and high
viscosity AN (AN23) as well polar base oils such as esters and PAG .
The combination of such performance (wear reduction and friction
reducing) eliminates/minimize heat generated during the mixboundary
lubrication regions and achieves dramatic increase of
lubricant useful life during operation. Choices of SBO is vital to
maximize the benefits of AWFR additives. The new AWFR chemistry is
created as the result of Novitas’ R&D efforts and is odor free/user
friendly.
