STLE 2020 STEM Camp - Call for tribology experiments

The Society of Tribologists and Lubrication Engineers (STLE) would like to invite members and their organizations to join us for the society's 7th Annual Tribology STEM Camp held as part of the 75th Annual Meeting & Exhibition at the Hyatt Regency in Chicago, May 4th.

STLE is seeking ideas and materials for hands-on experiments focused on important areas of research within the field of tribology and lubrication engineering. We are looking to organize a group of short experiments lasting about 15-20 minutes in length, that will help students understand the principles of friction, wear and lubrication. Experiments must be safe for high school students to run but most important, should be fun and engaging. Any ideas or write-ups of tribology and lubrication related experiments would be up for consideration. In addition to experiments we are seeking volunteers as well as any donated supplies to ensure the experiments run smoothly.

STLE's goal is to expose high school students, who have interests in STEM (Science, Technology,  Engineering, & Mathematics) about possible career opportunities in the fields of tribology research and lubrication engineering.
